Thought I should post some pictures and details about the previous motorcycle, for those not familiar with the project. There is a short video on Youtube.

Ran the bike for one season, but was ultimately unimpressed with the Comet CVT slipping in wet conditions. I had a plywood belt cover that provided decent protection, but when the roads got truely wet, the infiltration was inevitable. For a fair-weather project it was OK, but for a commuter vehicle it was a liability. Also, the overall ratio range was too limited to allow both a decent top speed and good pull from a dead stop.
But as a proof of concept, I consider it a sucess.
