Ok whats up with this? Before I bought my v-twin diesel, I did ALOT of research so I wouldn't get burned. Turns out there are several manufacturers that make the same engine.
So far, I have found 4. Punsun, Runsun, Winsun, and Kipor. Kipor seems to look more different, but the block config is overall the same. The first 3 websites all claim the same cc's and power...and all claim they hold the patent on its design. I ordered a Punsun directly from the site, a sales rep by the name of Roger was very helpful and answered all my stupid questions. When I opened the box its was badged as a Runsun. Are these guys all connected, or are they double dealin' each other? Just wanted to make everyone aware
before they make a purchase. Thanks..... Smokz out.

All these makes you mention have been showing up for a few years now. There was a certain amount of excitement when they first began to appear as they offered a cheap alternative to the Yanmar V engine. I can only guess certain suppliers are re-badging these engines? But, whether its due to a lack of imagination on their part or a willingness to let buyers know of the common origins of these engines I don't know?
Long term reliability of these early V engines is not good but we're all hoping later products will be made better. I've yet to see any evidence if that though.
As regards the names on your engine, I'm no expert on branding but maybe someone else can expand on this subject?

Wonder if one of them"say Punsun" is made in factory where parts are made and others like "Winsun" is "assembled" in a different location (city or even Country like Korea) those thusly get bagged a different name though they are same parts made in same location; Just assembled elsewhere. Or something similar to this. They may ship out from factory closest to purchaser or from what ever assembly location has the available stock at time of order thus why buyer may get one with different name than whom they actually ordered from.
