Seems multi-fuel in the sense that it CAN burn it, not necessarily well. Spark ignition as well. Kind of reminds me of a two-cycle version of those old tractor engines that could run on anything from LP to Kero to gas, and often had switches to swap between fuel sources.

Yeah - they're omnivorous but they do it with relatively low compression ratios (compared to a diesel). If you look at the fuel consumption figures they're pretty horrendous compared to the 4 strokes most are using on here.
If they weigh far less then the reduced vehicle mass may demand less power and slightly mitigate the poor fuel consumption, but I doubt it'd be enough.
