Hi, my names Andy. We do a bit of overland travelling on our Triumph outfit www.adventuresidecar.co.uk am interested in the posibilitys of useing a Diesel engined Tiger outfit for future long distance trips. We already have a Tiger, any usefull comments would be welcome. Andy and Maya

assume you have already comb thru the threads in here on Heiko's Tigers with a 3cyl diesel?

Hi, thanks for the responce. Yes have looked around this site and that engine looks promising but getting one built for us would be expensive. Need to find a source for the engine. Andy

Being that you are on that side of the ocean, would think youd have ability to get a Lombardini used over there (nearly impossible in the US). I may be mistaken on that but really do think they are more redially available over there. He used a LDW 1003 I believe. Start combing thru craigslist and ebay? It is NOT a cheap engine for sure. If you can find one he may be willing to sell you his braces, belt cover etc. to do the conversion local to yourself if you use the same general engine and tranny (either Ultima Harley w/belt drive or CVT). He is a very busy but nice fellow. Heeee might can get a new engine too.

BTW over at Advriders.com in the Hack forum their is a thread titled I think Tiger 900. Its a long slow thread about putting a Hack on the same model tiger. Might be a few others in there. I assume your a member overthere already. If not you might consider it.
