Jim2536

I am a new member from Batemans Bay in NSW - a recently retired Diesel Fitter who specialised in fuel injection systems for many years - i have owned many motorcycles including a Royal Enfield Classic 500 Bullet military model.
I have wanted a diesel bike for many years and now i am retired will try to get one somehow - if anyone out there has something suitable please contact me as i have the facilities to tinker or repair but no major machining etc at hand. I came across this site recently and find it extremely interesting - please feel free to give advice as to the best way to do things here or ask anything of me - thanks for a great site.
regards
Jim Pennington.

Hey Jim.

AndrewAust is also from NSW. He should be able to tell you all about the local regulations and his struggles with them. For the rest, just decide what your end goal it and stick to it. Enfields are great, but if you want a pumping powerhouse of a machine, perhaps you should look on, because I haven't heard many good stories about multicylinder engines in an Enfield.

Just read along on this site and it will come to you. Then start collecting parts and build your dieselbike :)

Hi Jim

Welcome to the forum, yes I'm from NSW, when you say your looking for a bike, are you looking to import ??? That would be your only option here in OZ if you want to purchase a diesel bike.

Seems we also come from similar fields, I have qualifications in mechanical engineering, one being of the diesel area.

I also just caught your PM, I'll get back to you soon mate.

Cheers

Andrew ;)
