Hatz/Dnepr Resurrection

Post by LocomotiveBreath »

As some know I bought the Yuri Hatz/Dnepr seen on Dieselbike.net back in early 2005.

After rebuilding her and then parting her out, cutting up the frame to fit a Honda Goldwing GL1800 final drive, and even trying to sell the cut-up frame. Well, I’ve been reversing the process.

I’ve located and bought a “NEW” Dnepr MT-16 minus the engine from Vostok Motors. I’ve welded and gusted the frame back together and well on my way to get the old girl back on the road. The New Dnepr frame left over will get my Briggs/Daihatsu Turbo 3LC for another Dnepr rig.

I'm using all Dnepr parts in the final drive, the Goldwing final drives (I have several) looks like hey might find a place in a Morgan/Tadpole style contraption someday unless someone wants them.

How you doing anyway George? Staying out of trouble? How business?

Hatz/Dnepr Resurrection Up Date

Well finally two adapters made for the Hatz/Ruggerinni to Dnepr Ural Trannsmissions. Now to start working on an adapter for the Briggs/Daihatsu 954TD.

A second Dnepr MT-16 on layaway from Vostok Motors

Looking to have my Desel Dnepr on the road soon. I'll have to re-route turbo plumbing to be used on my Dnepr.
