Yes mate he contacted me some time ago, I tried to chase him up but never heard back from him "maybe they realised their bike isn't the first to run on bio ..... loll or the first of it's kind registered in Australia", it was that kind of B.S coming from the Adelaide uni that sorta got up my sensitive bits.

I have some poster pics, I'll post them up.

From memory he may have gotten my details from the Adelaide UNI as I have exchanged email from staff regarding the bio bike projects.

Looks like he is having some fun - if 95khr is all he can do I'd blow him off very slowly on sooty ............... loll.

More BTU's in petroleum diesel I guess !!

PS: I'm fairly sure that my own Enfield may not have been the first waste oil bike in Australia, I'm trying to chase up people who have experimented with bikes, if one of those imported Taurus bikes had waste oil put in the tank, that would have been the first registered bio bike in Australia, now that would burst their bubble hey ................... PMSL.

Andrew that bike that Paul rides on the goodoil site seems to use a lot of fuel, 3.5l per 100.

Though you did say less BTU for the bio stuff and maybe costs less then mineral diesel

Here's a bit of info on the Taurus when imported to Aus

the price list is from the 1'st of November 2000

The standard 324 diesel was $3850 incl. GST
The Taurus Cargo diesel was $3950 incl.GST
Consumption: 70km per liter

So a biofuelled motorcycle could have been ridden 6 years+/- earlier to the Adelaide Uni's bike

And Andrew where did you get those posters about his trip? How old are they?

The first posters strange as it talks about his biodiesel bike trip then shows a petrol Kawa W650 below him

Second poster talks about the bike: HDT Bulldog, the pic shows a 1200GS BMW. Then says the Bulldog uses 1l per 100, that would be awesome. Is he using Adelaide Unis bike or the Bulldog?

IMO that Paul bloke aint a proper rider, he winges a lot about the trucks overtaking on the highway (happens too me too and its fine). And he stays in hotels.

The posters are old ones he sent to me ages ago, a quick look at the picture properties say the 14 February 2009, but I think you could add another 6 months onto that as well. I never knew what was so important for the Adelaide UNI and Carter to B.S on about the first bio bike yada yada yada when it's pretty straight forward their bikes weren't.

Guess it will sell them the TV series, but it might bite them in the arse down the line if mainstream media picks it up and does some investigation. I wouldn't be surprised if someone doesn't come out of the woodwork and prove to have an old Harley, JAWA, JAP etc running on bio after the war here in OZ - PMSL, actually back then the Australian chap would actually have a go, now it has to be manufactured and delivered to their door !!

I think he is using the Adelaide Uni's bike Dan, see when I heard from him I got a hunch they might have wanted to either convert an Enfield or be completely lazy and borrow my bike, who really knows? Maybe someday we might get an answer.

I've only watched the opening vid on the site, that was enough - I agree! He needs to harden up if trucks etc spun him out, I contend with the traffic on one of the busiest highways in Australia, one just has to be cautious and alert when riding, that's all.

The chap that Imported the Diesel Taurus into Australia doesn't live all that far from me, I got to meet him when I was building my bike, only a few were sold for the recommended price, the others they had to literally give away. His nickname is T.C "Top Cat" I won't post his name up without permission, he's actually very ill from conversation with an old friend of his.
