Woz talking to a mate of mine the other day and he recons that when these electric vehicles are more popular they will be more deaths on the road , why I said coz you cannot here them coming, it is true that there were loads of deaths when trams and trolley buses were on the road or is it, i'm to young to remember. I work in a university acoustics (noise and vibration engineering) department. Lotus just ran a big study on what noise to play (directionally) from the front of electric vehicles, to warn other road users of their approach. Unsurprisingly, they found that the most unanamously recognised signal was that recorded...from a conventional internal-combustion engine vehicle.
