Frame for Daihatsu Industrial Engines

Post by oilburner »

Here are a few pictures of the frame I am building for the Daihatsu D950.
Since I rely on eyeball designing (aesthetics is high on my priority list),
I spent many hours visualizing the placement of components. It's kinda
like putting a jigsaw puzzle together in your head before touching the pieces.

Oh - the bedsheet is to enhance the contrast of the pictures. Behind it is my
offshore mill/lathe.

Sorry about the picture quality - gotta get me a new camera one of these days.

Hi Avery

Looks like a tidy frame your building there - from the pics it looks nice and straight. So you have put it together without a jig? If so you've done well.

Will be nice to see the end product

Cheers

Actually, much of the project is complete, and the bike has been on wheels, but is currently disassembled for completion of sub components. Here's a picture of the bike from the dieselnet.net website:

All my pics were lost during my computer meltdown :(

Hi Avery

Hay that looks like a very nice piece of machinery, a real credit to your work indeed

Looking forward to seeing more pics.
