after a LONG time in the corner of the garage gathering dust im back to the diesel bike
i could do with a little help on something though - battery - the old one on the donor was a 12v 68ah. its bloody huge. any ideas if there is an alternative for something physically smaller?
i was wanting to put the tank under the deat in the gap but the battery will easily fill that [if i can get it in there even!!]
There are other sizes too or else put a couple in parallel? Depends what sort of oomph the engine needs I guess. Not cheap tho admitedly. My last diesel car battery was only £50!

found them last night thanks for that - they are dear but small so ill pay the extra, there is one that will sit on top of the swingarm pivot and fit nearly flush with the front of the tube so take basically no space leaving the rest open for a tank
Good stuff. The Odyssey should have the cranking power to turn the engine over no problems, but just not for a long time. So long as the engine fires . The documentation makes some impressive claims like the battery can operate in extreme cold etc so it should be a decent job.
