Members Motorcycles - What DieselBike do you ride?

My machine is a Royal Enfield conversion from Charnwood. The engine is by Hatz. Model Number 1B30 350cc single cyclinder 9HP auto de-compression with electric start.
To date it has done 22573km and is still going strong. Apart from the clutch cable I gotta fix

My machines are Track T-800CDI.
Produced by my company E.V.A. Products BV. I own 8 numbers in total at this stage. All pre-production prototypes. It even starts at -15degrees Celcius without preheating !!!

Here i am driving the nr:003 bike.
800 CC turbocharged intercooler CDI modified engine by DC.
Topspeed 185 km/h 2L:100km at 100km/h 2 types of gearbox:
1. CVT Consant variable transmision.
2. Semiautomatic 6 speed gearbox.

Ok heres a piccie of Sluggy with Stuarts Hatz in the background at Beaulieu ealier in 2006.

It's a 360cc Greaves engined Enfield Bullet, with a 400cc Lombardini barrel and piston and some excentric rockers to improve valve lift.

This is my bike, a Kubota D600 Honda CX500 mix with custom built midframe . 13 horsepower and mid 50's speed at the moment. Smooth ride and decent acceleration. Still working on a permanent tank.[[

My diesel bike hasn't been built yet... (I probably ought to post some pics) Front end (and serial numbers) from a 69 CB350. Rear end is an old weld-on hardtail Sportster unit.. Everything in between is my own creation...
Small chinese clone.. (6hp) Only hoping to get 40-45 at best out of it. I got swamped with work this fall, and just now am getting around to work on it. Frame is tacked together, and engine is loosely sitting in it..
It's going to sit low to the ground, with the front end kicked out a bit.. I'm guessing maybe 38-40 degrees overall.

Great bike cdog, as are all the rest. My next bike will be laid out the same way. Two big thumbs up, maybe send a more detailed picture, right side drivin pulley? Also I noticed you have either a chain primary in one picture, and a 2 groove v-belt drive in another. Maybe post what you like better, your preference.

Hi Guy's

This is my ride, 95 Royal Enfield Bullet converted to a Yanmar clone 406 cc Diesel.

Best project I think I've ever done - damn bike has drawn more attention then I could have ever imagined.

Top speeds around 90K's, fuel consumption 1.8 lts to the 100 K's

Currently running mineral diesel - but will experiment with alternate fuels later. I'm also using a little Acetone in with the fuel.

Gearing - Standard 500 bullet.

Total time to do the conversion "Weekend Project" 3 months.

Positives = It's just a fun little bike all round

Negatives = Never try to overtake other Vehicles

That cushman type deal is rad! I've got a Yamaha Zuma scooter chassis that i'm thinking should have a small diesel fitted to it.

The big one is Duetz powered and the drivetrain is almost an exact copy of a Boss Hoss. A Boss Hoss is a bike powered by a Chevrolet V-8 engine made here in the States.

Spied this in Gaz workshop earlier today, he built this 10 years ago!

The Motor/Gearbox is a Ford 1.6 from a Fiesta and the headstock is bolted to the head/tail section to the rear of the motor - very neat bike.

Note the size of the battery - 290CCA and guaranteed for 2 years use 10 years storeage.

Thank you, I love the twin engined Cushman, just backs up my statement about putting twin 10hp engines on your bike. to get you 20hp, hell, stack 3 for 30hp. Buy three for the price of the v-twin you all are waiting for and still have change.

I did a google search on Nick, if you see him, I admire his work. Two thumbs up! We think alike. I was going to do build a bike like his with my Liberty CRD engine. But turned into more of a headache, so I passed on that idea.

Hi guys,
Don't know whether you're interested in trikes as well as bikes. I have a trike powered by a 60 bhp 1.5 Peugeot diesel engine that came from a Peugeot 106. It's mated to a VW Beetle gearbox, which kind of limits the speed to about 85-90 mph - I'm going to try and get the gear ratios adjusted to see if it will rev a bit higher in fourth. Will post a pic once I work out how. I bought it last year and ride it in rain or shine! I know of two other guys (both in my trike club Brothers of the Third Wheel aka BTW) that have diesel trikes - one is powered by a 1.9D from a Peugeot 305 and the other is powered by a 2.5 Ford Transit engine. I have a wee dream to build a trike powered by a Mercedes 300D engine - well I can dream can't I!

Hello all mine is a 1981 BMW with a yanmar tractor engine top speed is 63 mph top fuel is 70 mpg at 55 mph. It loves biodiesel.

Yes that is the bike that I bought from Sam. I have repainted it added a faring and the tail section around the seat and have added duel tanks. I have reoutfitted the tubing with biodiesel compatible tubing and hooked up an electric switch to go from tank to tank. I will try to get some better pictures to send to you. Future modifications may include getting a tall fifth gear to up my top speed and up my miles per gallon at 55.

Ok Dave. More details and pics to me is always nice. I've got to update the site with a few more bikes that have shown up here. I find myself consentrating on the forum and not the site which is something I'll have to correct
