Vw to ural adapter

Post by southysuper »

I’m looking for bellhousing drawings for the ural. I have the technical drawings for the vw already. Any clue where to find the ural drawings?

No idea about drawings, but the top plate on a Ural clutch (in a Ural engine) is as I remember in the same plane as the face of the bellhousing built into the engine - that is, it is in line with the joint between engine and gearbox. When I married a Daihatsu 3cyl diesel to a Ural box, that info plus a lot of cardboard and messing about was how I did it. I used the bike flywheel machined to fit the car crank, to make the job easier, but it means I have to kickstart it as no starter ring.

Here’s a link to my Daihatsu to K75 gearbox templates. One plate at least might be of use if a Daihatsu is being used??
