Perhaps there's a type PF single cylinder injection pump suitable for adaption to the diesel thumpers. These pumps are available from 4kw to 1000kw per cylinder which should cover your application.
Like the original pump, the type PF pump attaches to the engine with a flange and is driven by the engine's block-mounted camshaft. Here's the important feature: the plunger can be rotated to vary the instant at which the helix reaches the fuel-return port (delivery timing) via an external shaft.
You shouldn't require a rocket scientist's degree to fit one of these to your engine, but a bit of ingenuity may be required to make the advance *automatic*. It could be interesting and perhaps even amusing however to see what would would happen if one installed a manual timing advance lever.
