There has always been a large 'dink' in the head bearings that makes the bike a little wandery in a straight line - so I decided to do something about it.
New taper rollers installed and the bars turn as smooth as a baby's bum.
The battery was renewed a few months back so a quick top-up on the Optimate charger and when I couldn't think if any more excuses I primed the fuel lines with the pump lever, hit the glow plugs for 30 seconds and pressed the button.
Voila! - she cooches like a good-un; doesn't even smoke!
Of course it's not charging the battery but that should be simple enough to fix.
Colour me chuffed to bits.
More things to do over the winter such as stronger fork springs and a shorter rear shock absorber and we should be good for the spring.
Just remains to be seen if my back holds out!
Onwards and upwards.
