Re: Ural-Daihatsu
Alright, 'heavy duty' donut, came, is installed, and works so far. Passenger peg swing-arm bump stops are back on to help prevent donut being mis-aligned. Also, it becomes apparent that I have lengthened the frame by 5 or 6mm more than I had to, to accommodate the Dnepr 'box, and the last donut was therefore a little loose on the pegs which locate in it. So I have moved the circlip along to the next groove of the splined end of the drive shaft, to try to keep both sets of pegs (driving, and driven) deeply engaged in the donut. Actually it would move up another notch, but this last groove is rather knackered on my shaft so I may make something more substantial than just the circlip to fit around the shaft and keep the donut lightly squashed between the flanges of the two sets of prongs which engage with it. We'll see.
