I purchased a kubota d722 engine from govliquidation and a final drive on ebay from a bmw 1200c, you will probably notice its the same as the final drive on the track 800. I found it to have the tallest shaft drive ratio available 2.54:1 ratio (33/13)
should help keep the rpm low. stock hp on a 722 is 20 so with turbo I hoping for 26ish
The end goal is to be a cafe style minimalist bike. that can cruise at 70-75 I am on the fence between a cvt that I have already found from a polaris at a swap meet brand new! or a divorced transmission ie. harley style or perhaps a cut up modified 6 speed gear box from a 2 smoker.
The engine will sit longitudinally and that alone will limit me on what trans I will go with as I dont want this thing to be long at all. I am wraping up on a ford cummins swap right now on my truck so this may be a slow start heres some pics more to come. thanks for stopping by
