Hi,
thanks, I have a manual, I was hoping to find someone that has done it and has knowledge of these engines.
My RD210 engine (3000rpm)is now a RD211 (3600rpm) with the throttle stops bent over with the help of a hammer (3700rpm) I was hoping to hear this MD190 engine was up revved the same way.
Just an aside comment here: in some cases like the Bosch VE pump if you change the top governed speed by changing the governor spring it can also change the entire fuel curve. That is, while you can sometimes gain top end power along with higher rpm's you can also lose some bottom end fueling and power. Worth researching before investing time and money in a different spring.
I think I have the answer I was looking for, looks like the whole 3600rpm (3750rpm) is down to the throttle stop screw, as its way longer than others that I have seen.
Also the throttle lever has very little swing to it, so I'm guessing it has a higher throttle gearing compared to my RD211 engine.
hey ian,how much did you screw it in in the end?im using the same engine, and was wondering how to get the right revs without anything complicated.
cheers, jonny.
