Smart 800cdi engine - serious interest...NONE!

Hi chaps, I have a 2010 Smart diesel engine for sale.

It is out of a front ended car, so no radiator and also no key. Everything else is included:

Engine, turbo, ecu, wiring loom, gearbox, in fact it's easier to say the whole back end from the wheels and tyres upwards including hubs, drive shafts, chassis frame, exhaust etc.

This is everything you'd need to power and drive a rear wheel drive car or trike except for the ignition key and radiator.

I've dismantled it in to major components to transport it, store it and start looking at how to build a diesel bike, so it's ready to go and easily transportable.
I'm not ready to go however, and have to focus on other things for now, so it's all up for grabs.

would be nice. Assume though shipping to US would be twice the cost of the engine and any of the needed electronics. Not sure what one would have to do to get it thru customs either.

Hi Coachgeo if any of you guys over the pond are seriously interested then we can get these details.
No problem with crating and shipping at my end, but as you mention shipping & US customs are likely to cost a few dollars.

PS Just an example, a package 100kgs, 750mm x 750mm x 500mm from me to Ohio is quoted at around £600 (not the actual weight or size but gives us a ball park idea)

Hi Erik,

Firstly I've just watched the youtube video of your Enfield Yanmar L100 and I think its beautiful!

Next, the weight of the 800cdi engine is approximately 65 kilos. A little heavy for a Honda C90 but perfect if you've got a spare Laverda Jota chassis in the shed.
