Building with an Enfield beter hurry up

Post by sbrumby »

Latest Classic Bike magazine has an article on the new engine currently being tested in the UK. Unit construction fuel injection 500 single. On show at the NEC. Will be on sale in 2008 along side the old bullet but as stock goes on the old one it wont be replaced.

Bugger! Charles from the riding on salad oil website told me some time ago they were thinking about it, now it looks like rumor has come to fruition.

So it looks like the choices are dwindling if you want to convert a new bike.

Yes must agree, a sad day indeed  Although I guess it will take a lot of years for current bikes to slowly be retired  , a plentiful supply coming from India etc at the moment.

Who knows guy's! One of the large manufacturers might get off there butts and start a production of diesel bikes at a reasonable price.

Cheers

Bullet

Post by Cockney Bob »

The new bullet seems to use the old frame and acessories and as we do not need the engine I doubt it will matter for a long time yet.

It is not in the arrival brightly planned. But in the Dreams Men Dream along the way we find the Golden road to Samarkand.
