built bike for sale

Post by roverthetop »

it didnt sell on ebay. over 3000 lookers in 7 days, but no takers. if you'd like it, she's for sale. i got her as a "kit bike". yeah, in pieces. put it together and it was sh*t. threw the POS engine away, bought a brand new lombardini 25LD 425-2 (19hp) for her. frame stretch, custom bellhousing, custom stainless exhaust, misc fixes, complete rewire, new clutch, fresh paint, etc, etc. cant seem to post pics from my satellite system. always off problems with it, so if you'd like to see her, or post pics for me, i'd be happy to send some. or if you just want to chat, question, whatever. thanks.
oh, by the way, addicted, i have a beauty of a design for the trailer or sidecar for you!

Rover,
Nice bike, watched it on eBay while I was selling some camera stuff. I know you got a lot in it, probably more in it than you'll see back and I know that can hurt. Two suggestions: first, if you have to sell it, get it registered (PITA, I know) cause most people don't want to hassle with that sort of thing. For me, I'll never ever buy another un-titled bike again and go thru the BS involved. Second, why not riding it? Ride it for a year and break it in, get to learn from any mistakes (if any) and enjoy your efforts, just my $02 worth :)

I feel your pain, my Hatz/Dnepr is getting a complete rebuild with a Honda GL1800 final drive and a modern transmission and a real front-end with real brakes. You might want to look over my Ruggerini RD211/Honda ride.

Give me a call if you want, I'm in Southern CA,
