This made me study the pictures in the workshop manual, the conclusion that I came to is the injector pump rack has opened further, making it rev higher.
Has anyone opened the rack fully, and what revs did you get?
It looks to me that the governor spring is just a damper, to stop the rack opening to fast and cause to much momentum (inertia).
Anyone know if there is a stronger spring available for the Ruggerini rd211 / Lombardini 12ld? Ha yea live in hope.
