Daihatsu Charade 1L diesel engine for sale

Posting here first. Daihatsu Charade 1L engine. I have a spare engine for sale with (I’m told) 44k miles on it. It turns using the flywheel so isn’t seized. I ended up with 2 after putting the word out that I needed an engine for my own project  It doesn’t have an exhaust manifold though, only ...

I guess you could get inspiration from the latest rally reports, some of which are video based now:

Re: Bmw k100 options.

Seen at the U.K. rally last week: Long angle drive and short ist gear I can currently use Paralever for all K75, K100 and with the new longitudinal gearing also for the K1100 offer a spiral bevel gear set for the rear wheel - angle drive with a ratio of 1: 2.38. The overall translation is therefore ...

Malcom Benall’s Thunderstorm device

This device might be the saviour of the ICE?

Malcom Bendall’s Plasmoid Thunderstorm device apparently saves fuel & drastically cuts emissions.

ULEZ info

:D Just received this info from Fergus regarding the testing for his diesel Tiger. ‘ Totally standard lombardini LDW1003, tier 2 emissions engine. The exhaust is straight through stainless. I think the point is that since the engine only revs up to 3,800 rpm, the NOx levels don't change much from id...

Re: The FrankenBrick Smart BMW build

If he’s breaking it then I’d be interested in the final drive provided it’s got the new ring & pinion gears ⚙️ in it from the German guy.
Needs to fit my BMW K75 build.
Message me if so?

Cheers

We are back at the Blue Ship this year. The field will be open from Thursday 1st June to the 4th. The pub doesn’t open earlier because of insurance requirements on the field.
See you in the field!

Kawasaki Kubota z482 for sale

I have a DIESEL BIKE project for sale. Kubota Z482 with CVT from an Aixam or suchlike in a Kawasaki something or other frame. Reg’d as a diesel - Kawasaki/heavy oil on V5. I bought this two and a half years ago - it started, ran and rode well but needed a few bits to make roadworthy. At the time I h...

New gear set available from Hubert Teller

Here are pictures of the new gears I have had made for the angle drive and the shortened 1st gear. The new production of the angle drive can be used for the BMW K75, K100 and now also for the K1100 with Paralever. The translation has remained the same at 1:2.38. I can offer the angle drive gears for...

Excessive Smoke & Oil consumption

I was told this my a friend recently and thought I’d post it up in case it helps anyone. If you suffer from the above with an old engine it’s worth considering that you could have gummed up piston rings? Various mechanics on YouTube create their own concoctions of brake cleaner & ATF & after...

Re: Winsun 192 anyone

I’ve no actually experience with them but as with the Punsen, they are Chinese knock offs I believe & it’s best to build a bike around an original Yanmar if one is available. I’ve seen fuel lines crack due to not being supported on the copy engines & other things that compromises their longe...

Re: Injector cleaner experiences?

Forte used to do a good cleaner but due to the resulting smoke, I think the formulas have been changed to clean injectors over a longer period. I once poured a bottle of the old stuff in my car & after a short run, went for the vehicles MoT test. Waiting in the que with the engine ticking over, ...
